2015 Imo Governoship Guber: Nzeribe Endorses Ihedioha

Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, a front line governorship hopeful on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has received a landmark endorsement as Chief Francis Arthur Nzeribe has thrown his weight behind him. Chief Nzeribe who played host to the Deputy Speaker at his haven of peace mansion in Oguta LGA, weekend, at a well attended state-wide consultation and sensitization visit ahead of the 2015 general elections declared his full support for the lawmaker. He described Chief Ihedioha as an honest and consistent man who is fit and experienced to assume the coveted position to lead Imo State
to the promised-land. ‘Let me assure everybody here and the entire Imo State that we are in total support of Chief Emeka Ihedioha’s quest to govern the State and I will stop at nothing towards ensuring that he becomes the next governor of Imo State come 2015’. Nzeribe recounted: ‘I had invited Ihedioha to my house in 2012 to urge him to consider vying for governorship position come 2015 so as to arrest the decay our state has been plunged into. This is a project I am convinced will better the lot of the state “I invited him again after some months to encourage him to consider the job and i am happy that he has not wavered on his quest to heed the collective yearning of well meaning Imo people to step forward and govern the state” Chief Nzeribe who defiled the scorching sun to declare his endorsement for Ihedioha before the mammoth crowd, described him as a caring, humble and loyal party man who has remained committed to the development of the state and the country in general. Wife of Chief Arthur Nzeribe, Hon. Mrs. Joan Nzeribe said that she had not seen anybody in the status of the Deputy Speaker with such humility and composure like Chief Ihedioha who has never stopped inquiring about the welfare of her husband and that of Oguta people in general. Engr. Ironna thanked the Deputy Speaker for being a true brother to him in the House. He described as total falsehood, attempts at blackmailing the Deputy Speaker that he diverted NDDC projects meant for the oil producing areas to other areas and rather eulogized him for championing the cause of development of the area through facilitating projects for the area. The Deputy Speaker thanked Chief Arthur Nzeribe whom he said has been a pillar of support and strength for him, for finding him worthy and fit for the position and vowed not to disappoint him, the Oguta people and indeed the entire State. He said, ‘I want to assure you that by the grace of God, when we take over government come 2015, your resources and entitlements as an oil producing area which have been mismanaged by this administration shall be given back to you to ensure the development of this area.’ ‘I have a longstanding relationship with Oguta since my youthful days, therefore, i appreciate your challenges as an oil producing area and will ensure that you are not left out in the development policies of my administration. “.When flood besieged Oguta, I was the first government official at state and federal level to visit Oguta. It was a show of compassion; it was a show of intimacy. I didn’t come there on a political persuasion but I came as a man I am; A man who cares about the people; A man who appreciates the fact that Oguta people are part and integral part of Imo project.” Ihedioha who stormed the area with his supporters was received by leaders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by the LGA party Chairman and other executive members, State Officers of the Party, all the ward chairmen, serving and former LGA Council Chairmen, all the political leaders, serving and former councilors, women leaders, youth leaders and all the interim coordinators of Ihedioha governorship management committee
